Humildad y comunión en la lengua (P. George W. Rutler)



En 1950, el Papa Pío XII advirtió contra la mentalidad "historicista" que se inclina a medir el mérito de las cosas en contra de una práctica imaginada del pasado distante. Esta mentalidad distorsiona el hecho histórico. 

El historicismo es para la historia como el racismo es para la raza y el cientificismo para la ciencia. Se recrea una iglesia primitiva "volar en ámbar", algo así como el Williamsburg colonial. No comprende la naturaleza de la Tradición sagrada, que es un desarrollo orgánico aplicable a los tiempos cambiantes, pero que nunca abroga el núcleo esencial de la verdad.

La práctica de recibir la Hostia Sagrada en la mano a menudo se justifica sobre la base del precedente primitivo. San Cirilo de Jerusalén describió de manera famosa la manera reverente de ser utilizada para recibir en la mano, y los comentarios de San Justino Mártir, Tertuliano y San Ambrosio sugieren que era la norma. Pero dos sínodos en el siglo VII tomaron posiciones opuestas en la práctica (Rouen contra ella y Trullo para). Entonces se produjo un cambio gradual a favor de la comunión en la lengua. En tiempos de Santo Tomás de Aquino, la comunión en la lengua parece haberse convertido en el uso de la Iglesia latina, y por una razón teológica clara:
Por reverencia hacia este Sacramento, nada lo toca, sino lo que se consagra; de ahí que el cabo y el cáliz sean consagrados, y también las manos del sacerdote, para tocar este sacramento. Por lo tanto, no es lícito que nadie lo toque, excepto por necesidad, por ejemplo, si cayera en el suelo, o en otro caso de urgencia. ( Summa Theologiae , III, 82, 3)
Los liturgistas profesionales no pocas veces carecen de un don para la psicología práctica. La confesión cara a cara se promovió alrededor del tiempo en que un exceso de abusos morales comenzó a afectar a la Iglesia. La "sala de reconciliación" es problemática en la actualidad, presumiblemente por la misma razón que los confesionarios con pantallas se introdujeron hace siglos. Los historicistas no preguntaron por qué se había introducido el confesionario, del mismo modo que olvidan preguntar por qué la comunión en la lengua reemplazó la recepción en la mano. Claramente, el confesionario cerrado y la comunión en la lengua fueron el resultado de la necesidad nacida de la experiencia. No es coincidencia que la práctica de la confesión auricular disminuyó cuando entraron las "salas de reconciliación", así como la sensibilidad eucarística se redujo trágicamente después del Papa Pablo VI, con las reservas y precauciones típicas de él,

Sería imprudente volver a recibir la comunión en la lengua como una práctica universal por decreto repentino, pero se debe alentar la opción, así como arrodillarse para recibirla. Y el uso de los Ministros Extraordinarios de la Eucaristía como ordinarios debe explicarse como el abuso que es. Es revelador que desde los cambios poco aconsejables, la expresión "recibir comunión" comúnmente se convirtió en "tomar comunión". Por lo menos tan importante, e instituido más fácilmente, es la posición ad orientem del celebrante. Su influencia correctiva en la psicología del culto haría otras reformas más lógicas. En términos ecuménicos, estas formas de reverencia serían más comprensivas con los ritos orientales. Aunque las iglesias orientales reciben la comunión de pie, también requieren postración y comunión en la lengua.

Un cardenal me dijo una vez que la comunión en la mano había aumentado la devoción eucarística. Dado el dramático declive en la asistencia a la misa y la creencia en la presencia real desde la década de 1960, este fue el triunfo de la teoría sobre los hechos. En su carta apostólica de 1980 "Dominicae Cenae", n. 11, Juan Pablo II advirtió sobre el potencial de falta de respeto e indiferencia que surge de la práctica de recibir la comunión en la mano. Desde una perspectiva práctica, especialmente en las parroquias de las grandes ciudades, la comunión en la mano invita a la profanación: muchos sacerdotes tienen historias sobre personas que huyen con la Hostia. 
Pero no habrá una mejoría sustancial hasta que otra generación esté dispuesta a admitir que el "espíritu del Vaticano II" a menudo hizo más daño que bien, y que muchos de los cambios litúrgicos posteriores fueron desastrosos
Esto me da la oportunidad de mencionar lo que a menudo se ha dicho sobre la piedad eucarística de Santa Teresa de Calcuta. RECLAIM THE FAITH! And thank God for the opportunity (Michael Voris)

For a number of months now, after careful analysis of the latest numbers, trends and data, we here at Church Militant have been pointing out that a looming demographic disaster is facing the Church in the United States. And as the saying goes, "Demographics is destiny." The U.S. Catholic population is on the verge of a death spiral, not only in terms of sheer, raw numbers but also of self-identified believers. The death spiral is beginning to unfold because of, well, death — the elderly Catholic population that were adults before Vatican II in the early 1960s are now disappearing from the scene — my father for example. Behind them, counting generation by generation, the numbers keep decreasing. In short, there are very few in the pipeline. For example, there are more Catholics over age 65 than Catholics under the age of 30.

That lines up to be a demographic disaster, and because this disaster stretches over multiple generations and over decades, there is no quick fix and possibly no fix. In fact, the makings for this disaster, the percolation period as it were, actually goes way back — more than 100 years before the Council. It's just that the laity finally saw it for themselves unfolding after the Council, when all the crazy "Spirit of Vatican II" clergy were running around dismantling altars and sanctuaries, ordaining active homosexual predators and destroying every vestige of authentic Catholic education, worship, music, devotion, architecture and family life.

What we are witnessing now in the Church is the reaping of what was sewn by modernist saboteurs in the Church, who step by stealthy step have brought the Church to its knees. Fourteen-hundred Catholic schools, for example, have been shuttered in the past decade, a crisis so great that in a rare moment of looking in the mirror, the U.S. bishops actually discussed that aspect of the crisis at their recent national meeting, of course, paying no attention to the fact that their neglect is what caused the need to close them in the first place.

Faithful, authentic Catholics need to step up and reclaim the Faith — reclaim the Church. What is happening is the scales are tipping in favor of tradition. It may not look like it right now, at least not clearly, but it is happening.

The Church of Nice is gigantic — this gorilla constructed back in the 1960s–1990s by modernists like Detroit's Cdl. John Dearden and Chicago's Joseph Bernardin and their like-minded henchmen all over the country. There is no doubt that the Church of Nice is still in control, but it is dying, committing spiritual suicide.

In its place, a quietly growing community of Catholics who actually believe, hold and profess all that the Church proposes for our belief. They are centering themselves in little clusters around faithful parishes like the FSSP and the ICK and the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter — the last established by Pope Benedict as a refuge for Anglicans who wanted to come home to Rome while retaining their liturgies. Then, there are here and there a few diocesan parishes with orthodox priests who offer the Traditional Latin Mass, as well as reverent Novus Ordo Masses, meaning free from the millions of abuses present at the usual Church of Nice Novus Ordo Masses. They are also finding each other in Catholic homeschool groups and small private schools and colleges dotting the Catholic landscape. Our Blessed Lord is providing, and the Church of Nice, much as it wants to, can't prevent that.

Every year, more Catholics die and apostatize then are baptized or convert into the Faith. The exit doors are practically being busted off their hinges over at the Church of Nice, while the doors at authentic Catholic parishes are needing to be expanded. Sooner or later the scales will tip for good because the Church of Nice is approaching extinction.

What this means for Catholic life in the United States from a demographic standpoint is a very different way of practicing the Faith, living out the Faith on the ground so to speak. There won't be a parish within a few minutes of your home. There won't be a priest available with the ease there currently is. The Church will, in short, be reduced to a small little group and will basically have to start over. And here's the point: all this is already happening. It's happening now; the institutional Church knows it as well. That's why they are grabbing as much money from the old Catholics as they can before they die. But it is their last hurrah. Dying patients, people on life support, eventually die. We are watching the natural death of generations of rotten philosophy, miserable theology and errant morality.

There has ever only been one way to be Catholic and that is faithful. This is what Catholics must understand — do not mourn the destruction — do not look back over your shoulder. Focus on the future by confronting the current disaster, resisting the dissenter at every turn and reclaiming the ancient faith, the Faith of fathers, the Faith of the martyrs.

You are on the winning side because you are on the side of Our Blessed Lord who has allowed these horrors to occur to bring about a greater good. You reclaiming and rebuilding for future generations is that greater good. Welcome to the war. And amen for it. At last, the enemy has been smoked out.

Conversando con Jesús: Un sueño extraño [1 de 22] (José Martí)

Rara vez sueño. Y cuando sueño algo, se me olvida lo que he soñado. Eso suele ser lo habitual en todas las personas. Normalmente los sueños de una noche concreta suelen estar relacionados con los problemas y las preocupaciones (también las alegrías) experimentados en ese día  ... y, como digo, caen en el olvido la mayoría de las veces. 

Pero hay otros sueños -tipo pesadilla- relacionados también con algún tipo de problema, aunque con la diferencia de que, en este caso, el problema en cuestión es de tal envergadura que nos absorbe por completo las 24 horas del día (incluida la noche). Y entonces suele ser  más que probable (¡y es lógico que así sea!) que, al levantarnos, nos acordemos bastante bien de lo que hemos soñado. En estos casos, si no queremos que se nos olvide el sueño, un "truco" para lograrlo es escribirlo inmediatamente, al menos aquellas ideas que más nos han impactado en el sueño. 

A primeros del mes de Septiembre de 2017 tuve un extraño sueño. Y, conforme a lo dicho, me apresuré a tomar nota rápidamente de lo que recordaba. Y ahí quedó todo, en esas notas. Pero al ver el correr de los acontecimientos eclesiales, dado que el sueño está relacionado con ellos -y por si sirve de algo a alguien- voy a relatar aquello que aún me queda en la memoria ... teniendo en cuenta, lógicamente, que se trata tan solo de un sueño, con el valor que eso tiene.

En la mañana de aquel día en cuya noche tuve el sueño, hace de esto ya seis meses, durante la oración, estaba hablando con Aquél que es mi Señor y mi Amigo y le exponía los problemas que me preocupan, relacionados con Él y con su Iglesia: una nueva Iglesia, que no es la suya, que se opone a la Tradición y en la que se están trastocando todos los valores, comenzando por el matrimonio y  la familia, dando la impresión de que estuviéramos llegando al fin de los tiempos. 

Al frente de tu Iglesia -le decía- se encuentra el papa Francisco desde el 13 de marzo de 2013. Tú lo conoces mucho mejor que yo, Señor ... y sabes que era ya un dictador en la Iglesia argentina antes de ser elegido Papa ... sabes que quiere cambiar rápidamente tu Iglesia por otra, que no se le parece en nada. Desde el Concilio Vaticano II todo esto se veía venir, pero nadie ha movido un dedo para evitarlo; todo lo contrario. En esa labor de destrucción de la Iglesia han tenido una gran responsabilidad todos los Papas, sin excepción, desde el papa Juan XXIII hasta el Papa actual, los cuales, para más INRI, han sido elevados a la categoría de Beatos o santos, lo que, en definitiva, supone una canonización del Concilio Vaticano II al completo.

Ante esta situación, realmente alarmante, necesitamos, Señor, pastores santos, porque tu Iglesia se va a pique, necesitamos un nuevo Syllabus que clarifique tanta confusión, porque ya no hay Magisterio. Y roto el Magisterio, ¿qué nos queda?. Para colmo, se piensa que todas las palabras salidas de la boca del Papa son infalibles, como si fueses Tú mismo quien hablara por él en todas las situaciones, en un ambiente de papolatría inexplicable. "Los católicos tendrán que decidir si conservan su fe por encima de la papolatría”

Todavía hay quien se rige por lo que el Papa ha dicho ... y pretende, con ello, acallar su conciencia, mediante la conocida expresión: "es que lo ha dicho el Papa". Un amigo mío se extrañaba de que yo me expresara, en este blog, del modo en que lo hago, con relación al papa Francisco, lo que motivó, por mi parte, una respuesta a su extrañeza (ver aquí). 

Y es que la Iglesia, si bien es un cuerpo vivo -y no un cadáver- tiene, sin embargo, muchas cosas que conservar y que no dependen ni del tiempo ni del espacio. Esto no significa rigidez ni inmovilismo, como algunos pretenden hacerle creer al pueblo cristiano ... sino fidelidad a tu mandato, Señor, conforme a lo que decía san Pablo a Timoteo: "Guarda el buen depósito, con la ayuda del Espíritu Santo que habita en nosotros" (2 Tim 1, 14)

La Iglesia tiene que mantener su propia identidad frente al fluir de los tiempos o dejaría de ser ella misma. Y así lo ha hecho durante dos mil años, aportando siempre, además,  cosas nuevas, en todos los lugares y en todas las culturas de todos los tiempos,  que han supuesto un enriquecimiento personal y un progreso real de las sociedades a las que ha llegado tu Mensaje y han regido su vida por él.

Ésa ha sido, de continuo, a lo largo de casi dos mil años, su manera de actuar, en tanto que Iglesia fiel, pues no se pueden incluir en la Iglesia -propiamente hablando- a los falsos pastores ... que siempre los ha habido ... ¡y ponerlos, además, como ejemplo del pensamiento y de la vida de la Iglesia! ... un engaño en el que muchos caen ... pero caen aquéllos a los que no les interesa la verdad, pues tus Palabras, Señor, son Verdad y son Vida ... y son muy claras. 

La Iglesia siempre se ha estado renovando.  ("Ecclesia semper renovanda").  Y su influencia en el verdadero bien de la humanidad ha sido la mayor de todas las culturas conocidas, lo que es muy sencillo de constatar por la historia ... aunque es preciso tener en cuenta que son muchas las calumnias que se producen, al objeto de falsear esa historia. Tal falsificación de la historia es un hecho que ahora mismo se está produciendo en España, con la famosa "ley de memoria histórica", que debería ser llamada "ley de mentira histórica". 

Ya conocemos -o deberíamos conocer- la famosa frase atribuida a Stalin: Si los hechos contradicen mis ideas peor para los hechos. Es muy simple: no hay más que reescribir la historia, quemando todo resquicio de la verdadera historia y sustituyéndola por la que el Poder de turno desea -y obliga, a través de la "educación"- que pase a la posteridad como la auténtica historia. 

Son muchos los engañados, pero siempre ha habido, las hay y las habrá, personas inteligentes y valientes que han buscado la verdad (también la verdad histórica, por supuesto, rescatándola del olvido) y que han hecho posible que las aguas vuelvan a su cauce, no sin grandes dificultades y obstáculos.

... Pero me estoy distrayendo, Señor ... ¡se me ha ido el santo al cielo ... y he dejado de hablar contigo, perdiéndome un poco en mis pensamientos! Así que retomo mi conversación, y sé que cuento con tu comprensión:

Veo, Señor, con preocupación, que la expresión, tan usada, de  "renovación de la Iglesia" se está tomando como "excusa" para "adaptar" tu Iglesia a los tiempos modernos ... ¡cambiando tu Mensaje! Tu Iglesia ha sido traicionada. Son muchos -y cada vez más- los "mensajes" que nos llegan de la Jerarquía eclesiástica ... y que se apartan del Mensaje que Tú nos diste: lo que se nos ofrece no es ya la Iglesia que Tú fundaste. Y a quienes siguen a esos falsos pastores, a esos "renovadores" que están cambiando tu Doctrina, se les puede aplicar la conocida expresión: "¡Sí, corren bien ... hacen lío ... pero lo hacen fuera del camino!" . Y así es, porque están corriendo hacia su propia perdición.

Tú , Señor, eres el Camino, el único Camino ... y es preferible andar contigo, a tu lado, aunque sea cojeando, que apartarse de Tí e ir por otros derroteros ... que son "caminos" que no conducen a ninguna parte ... bueno,  sí llevan a alguna parte ... pero es a la propia condenación ...  ¡esto es muy grave como para ser tomado a la ligera, que es precisamente lo que hoy está ocurriendo! ... Y es que ya no te conocen. La mayoría de los católicos no conoce su fe, en parte por su propia culpa ... pero también, en gran medida, porque las "palabras" que les llegan acerca de Tí, no son ya tus Palabras, sino mensajes puramente humanos.

ATTACKING THE FAITHFUL And the faithful fight back (Michael Voris)

It's gotten to the point where the faithful are needing to take many things into their own hands against a corrupt and morally bankrupt hierarchy. Nothing happens in the Church in isolation. Some things are directly connected, others indirectly, but everything is connected.

For example, as many of you know, Church Militant began its Resistance movement about a year and a half ago in order to mobilize the laity wherever there were faithful willing to invest the time and energy. The thrust of Resistance is to hunker down and devote ourselves to study of the Faith in regular meetings with each other roughly two weeks or so — whatever the local chapter decides works best for them. Prayer and study — that's the focus.

But because things are in such disarray owing to so many bishops and clergy paying homage at the political and cultural altars of the Left, sometimes situations arise publicly that need addressing publicly. For example, the planned visit of disgraced Cdl. Roger Mahony, former archbishop of Los Angeles, who was appointed by Pope Francis to be his representative at the 150th anniversary of the diocese of Scranton.

It had the appearance of a perfect match. The bishop of Scranton, Joseph Bambera, allows pro-choice activists to speak in his diocese, as well as pro-sodomy priests like Fr. James Martin. Mahony hid dozens of homosexual priests' sex abuse from civil authorities, eventually having to shell out a staggering $660 million of faithful Catholics' money to pay for the settlements of his priests' pederasty.

Hide, deny, deflect, lie, deceive — these are the standard operating procedures of the Church of Nice and their modernist garbage which includes sodomite priests abusing altar boys. So when the announcement came from the diocese that a figure like Modernist Mahony was the papal delegate to the anniversary, faithful Catholics were up in arms, especially the local chapter of the Church Militant Resistance. Many Catholics were appalled and feel Mahony should be in jail, not leading the celebration.Well, the noise and ruckus worked. All of a sudden, seemingly out of the blue, Mahony was no longer the representative — merely declaring very simply he could not attend.

Ah! But see nothing is unconnected in the Church. At the same time this uproar was going on, the pope and those around him were having to put out fires about failing to act in another child-sex abuse case that touched on the Holy Father directly. The international media went into a feeding frenzy about a man whose letter delivered directly to the pope by Boston Cdl. Sean O'Malley about massive repeated sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of a priest and newly created bishop went ignored by the pope. The pope made headlines when he lashed out at the victim and defended the priest and bishop. When the press coverage went south for the Vatican, all of a sudden, the papal appointment of Mahony just disappeared — coincidence?

All of this is happening because responsible Catholic media are not letting up their full-court press against the torrent of scandals coming out about the pope's men. One by one, case by case, story after story, it is clear that there are too many of these men who are too friendly with the homosexual agenda.

And this is all on top of the stories of the low-grade-infection variety about various financial scandals, involving hundreds of millions of dollars from the unprecedented handling of $140 million involving the Knights of Malta to the news from LifeSite last week about the firestorm inside the Papal Foundation, implicating Cdl. Donald Wuerl in questionable money deals — the drip, drip, drip of scandals is beginning to mount up and cause the Vatican's scandal cup to overflow. And while the faithful Catholic media keeps reporting them, it's gotten too much for the Establishment types to sit quiet anymore.

Recall last summer that extremely close papal confidante Antonio Spadaro lashed out against Church Militant from inside the Vatican, calling us all sorts of names. Homosexualist Fr. James Martin and his fellow traveler Bp. McElroy of San Diego have also taken shots at us, calling for us and other Catholic sites to be somehow shut down and silenced by the hierarchy. Good luck, by the way. We are all independent. Apparently not content to just do nothing, our buddy Fr. Spadaro actually retweeted a tweet calling for EWTN to be shut down until host Raymond Arroyo is fired.

See, nothing is unconnected. It's all part of the same war, just different foxholes on the same battlefield. The personal attacks, the demonizing of faithful Catholics, the weaponizing of the institutions of the Church — it's unbelievable that all this is actually going on. Unbelievable that is if you haven't been following all the background on this for some time.

Everything going on is the result of a takeover of the Church by modernists who long ago abandoned supernatural faith — if they ever possessed it to begin with. This has been going on for decades with each successive decade seeing them become bolder and bolder. John Paul II could not get rid of them, even after more than a quarter of a century. Pope Benedict was overcome by them, retiring in exhaustion and even initiating his papacy by asking for prayers so that he "not flee for fear of the wolves."

The homosexualists in the Church, who are a large force behind all this and are happy to attack the faithful, have got to be confronted and don't look to the bishops to defend you faithful Catholics. Loads of them are in league with this evil — the rest of them are too scared to say a peep. 
The financial mismanagement, the sexual scandals, the failure to preach the truths of the Church, the refusal to acknowledge Hell and that souls go there, the continued fleecing of the flock with these diocesan campaigns to get hundreds of millions of dollars out of old Catholics before they die — this and much more are signs that the laity must step up.
You need to demand answers — call for transparency, demand that good clergy trying to save souls stop being persecuted because they will not play the evil game of the modernists. Push back against the demonizing of faithful Catholics who want to advance the Culture of Life, like what happened last week to the Texas Right to Life when the Texas Bishops' Conference went after them, accusing them of nefarious motives for trying to get solid pro-lifers elected — pro-lifers outside of the little Establishment bubble.
Everything, absolutely everything in the Church regarding these scandals are all connected. This is all beyond the beyond. The faithful are not objects to be attacked by these heretical, dissident self-interested clerics. They must be exposed.

"Pablo VI: una canonización pastoral" - por el Padre Pio Pace




Perhaps Paul VI had remarkable and heroic virtues in his private and secret life. 

But, as Pope, he is the object of not little debate: he promulgated the most liberal texts of the Council (Gaudium et Spes, Unitatis Redintegratio, Nostra Aetate, Dignitatis Humanae); he led a liturgical reform that turned sacred liturgy upside down and inside out; and several other things, big and small, such as the suppression of the extremely ancient and venerable Roman Subdiaconate.

Paul VI fully embodies Vatican II. It is precisely for this reason that he has been chosen for canonization, as the Popes of the Council and post-Council, who have been canonized one after the other: John XXIII, John Paul II...

Is Paul VI presented to the Church as an example due to the publication of Humanae Vitae? 

Or rather for his "ecumenical gestures", such as having given in 1966 to the archbishop of Canterbury, Michael Ramsey, his pastoral ring and a chalice -- which allowed Cardinal Coccopalmerio to affirm that the Anglican ordinations could be considered valid: "What could it mean for Paul VI the fact of giving a chalice to the archbishop of Canterbury? If it was to allow for the celebration of the Lord's Supper, the Eucharist, it was out of consideration for valid ceremonies, right?" 

And we could go on: John Paul II was an example for the solid defense of Humanae Vitae, or rather for having organized the sadly famous "Assisi meeting"?

We must dare say it: 

By canonizing all Vatican II popes, it is Vatican II that is canonized. 

But, likewise, canonization itself is devalued when it becomes a sort of medal thrown on top of a casket.

Maybe a council that was "pastoral" and not dogmatic is deserving of canonizations that are "pastoral" and not dogmatic.

Cardenal Sarah sobre la Profanación de la Sagrada Eucaristía (Christopher A. Ferrara)




Un artículo en lifesitenews.com informa sobre las buenas noticias de que el Cardenal Robert Sarah, Prefecto de la Congregación para el Culto Divino, ha escrito el prefacio a un nuevo libro de Don Federico Bortoli titulado "La distribución de la Comunión en la mano: un documento histórico, jurídico y encuesta pastoral"[ La distribuzione della comunione sulla mano. Profili storici, giuridici e pastorali ].

El prefacio es aún más explosivo que la exposición del libro de la historia de este horrendo abuso del Santísimo Sacramento. Después de observar la manera reverente en que Fátima ve, arrodillada, recibir la Sagrada Comunión del Ángel de la Paz en la primavera de 1916, el cardenal Sarah señala que el abuso de recibir la Comunión en la mano mientras estaba de pie, presentado después del Vaticano II, refleja nada menos que "el ataque diabólico más insidioso ... tratar de extinguir la fe en la Eucaristía, sembrando errores y fomentando una forma inadecuada de recibirlo".

Este ataque al Santísimo Sacramento, observa el cardenal, continúa hoy:
"Verdaderamente la guerra entre Miguel y sus Ángeles por un lado, y Lucifer por el otro, continúa en los corazones de los fieles: el objetivo de Satanás es el Sacrificio de la Misa y la Presencia Real de Jesús en la Hostia consagrada. Este intento de robo sigue dos pistas: la primera es la reducción del concepto de "presencia real". Muchos teólogos persisten en burlarse o desairar el término "transubstanciación" a pesar de las constantes referencias del Magisterio (...) "
Comunión en la mano 
"sin duda implica una gran dispersión de fragmentos. Por el contrario, la atención a las migas más pequeñas, el cuidado en purificar los vasos sagrados, no tocar la Hostia con las manos sudorosas, todo se convierte en profesiones de fe en la presencia real de Jesús, incluso en las partes más pequeñas de las especies consagradas ... [I] la presencia de los fragmentos nos hace perder de vista el dogma ".
El Cardenal Sarah pregunta: 
"¿Por qué insistimos en recibir la Comunión de pie y en la mano? ¿Por qué esta actitud de falta de sumisión a los signos de Dios? Que ningún sacerdote se atreva a imponer su autoridad en este asunto rechazando o maltratando a aquellos que desean recibir la Comunión arrodillados y en la lengua".
A este respecto, el cardenal toma nota del ejemplo de Juan Pablo II, quien, 
"a pesar de estar exhausto y sin fuerzas (...) siempre se arrodillaba ante el Santísimo Sacramento. No pudo arrodillarse y ponerse de pie solo. Necesitaba que otros doblaran sus rodillas y se levantaran. Hasta sus últimos días, quiso ofrecernos un gran testimonio de reverencia por el Santísimo Sacramento ". (Lo cual no es una defensa del maltrato escandaloso del Santísimo Sacramento en las Misas papales del" Día Mundial de la Juventud "durante el pontificado de Juan Pablo II).
En contraste, uno no puede dejar de pensar en el ejemplo del Papa actual, 
quien se niega explícitamente a hacer una genuflexión ante el Santísimo Sacramento durante la Misa o arrodillarse ante el Sacramento durante la Adoración Eucarística , aun cuando cuando todos a su alrededor lo hacen , incluso en Fátima .
La excusa de que Francisco tiene dificultades para arrodillarse está totalmente desmentida por bastantes contraejemplos como 
arrodillarse cuando los carismáticos "rezan", 
besar los pies de los musulmanes,
reverenciar un santuario anglicano,
o ir espontáneamente a confesar frente a las cámaras
(arrodillarse sin dificultad en un reclinatorio duro de madera y luego levantarse fácilmente por sí mismo).
En el prefacio el Cardenal Sarah también pregunta: 
"¿Por qué somos tan orgullosos e insensibles a las señales que Dios mismo nos ofrece para nuestro crecimiento espiritual y nuestra relación íntima con Él? ¿Por qué no nos arrodillamos para recibir la Sagrada Comunión según el ejemplo de los santos? ¿Es realmente tan humillante inclinarse y permanecer arrodillado ante el Señor Jesucristo?"
¿Puede el Papa Francisco no saber que estas observaciones deben haber sido escritas con él a la vista?

En octubre del año pasado, tras la emisión de Francisco de ' Magnum Principium, que parece dar a los obispos una mayor libertad para "traducir" -esto es, destruir- los textos sagrados, el Cardenal Sarah emitió una carta declarando que el Vaticano todavía conservaba la autoridad final sobre las traducciones litúrgicas locales bajo Liturgiam Authenticum de Benedicto XVI , que, después de casi cuarenta años de traducciones falsas que afligen a la Iglesia, finalmente ordenaron la corrección de errores atroces como "por vosotros y por todos los hombres" cuando Nuestro Señor dijo "por vosotros y por muchos" respetando las gracias salvíficas de la Eucaristía aplicadas a los individuos.

Sarah fue inmediatamente reprendido personalmente por Francisco  en una carta abierta que esencialmente exigía que publicara una retractación de sus comentarios en todos los sitios web que la presentaban. Parece que el Cardenal todavía está "trabajando" en la retractación. Esperemos que no termine antes de que termine este calamitoso pontificado.

Y recemos para que el próximo Papa posea la comprensión del Cardenal Sarah de la infinita dignidad del Santísimo Sacramento y la necesidad de repeler los ataques del diablo contra ella en nuestro tiempo al restaurar la debida reverencia en la recepción de la Sagrada Comunión, frente al tabernáculo donde reposa Nuestro Señor; y en la exposición del Santísimo Sacramento.

HOW’S IT GOIN’? Hopefully, well (Michael Voris)

So, here we are about a third of the way through Lent and the big question, "How's it goin'? Been faithful to your increased prayer, fasting and almsgiving efforts? Don't worry if you're not but do step it up. Remember the point of this is to prepare for death and perhaps even by means of martyrdom and not about doing your part to keep water clean like the bishops of Iowa think you should do or decrease your carbon footprint.

What you are doing during Lent should be something the effects of which will follow you into the next life, not end when you die. The Church is about your salvation, not lessening your contribution to fake man-made climate change idiocy. See, what we do here at Church Militant is two-fold — different sides of the same sword. People's ability to recognize the glories of Holy Mother Church is severely diminished because of all the heresy and dissent that has now just become institutionalized. And then there is the even greater problem, yes, greater than heresy and dissent, and that is the subtle re-defining of the Church that is taking place in a million little, almost invisible ways — almost invisible.

It is a presentation of the Church and the Faith never before done in our 2,000-year sacred history, and it has been going on for so long now that the average Catholic has simply accepted this "new" Church as the Catholic Church. It is a Church with no anchor to speak of to its own past. Tradition has become so marginalized, so sidelined, so forgotten for so long now — almost for complete generations — that Catholics now think what they see before them is the Church — how it's always been. And for them, it is. And you can't really blame them, but you can warn them. In fact, you are duty bound to warn them, alert them, make them sit up and pay attention to you.

You can certainly inform a bishop or your pastor what they are saying is wrong or ill-advised — that their prudential decision is going to have negative effects, and they are being short-sighted. And as affairs run, the superiority complex will immediately become evident, and you will be brushed aside. But that is just by the self-interested Establishment of professional Catholics.

Average people around you can be spoken to and engaged with because for people who aren't married to the institutional rot — who don't have a dog in that fight — some of them are much more likely and willing to give you a hearing. That's because many of them, many are men of goodwill and as a consequence of their goodwill, they are able to look around and observe the disaster that has befallen the Church.

They are asking questions. Even if they are only momentary or infrequently occurring, they are asking questions inside their minds. Questions like "Boy, sure seems like there used to be more people at this 10 a.m. Mass, where did they go?" Or "That's strange. How come almost everyone who graduated with me from St. Francis High School is no longer Catholic?" Or "Sure seems like I hear a lot about parishes closing up all over the place."

Many people see these things and don't have enough knowledge to answer their own questions. To them, a loss of supernatural faith on the part of many clergy wouldn't enter their minds just as it didn't when we, here, at Church Militant first started seeing these problems. We did figure out the answer like many good Catholics before us, and now we tell everyone and anyone who will listen so that they'll tell two friends about it, and they'll tell two friends and so on and so on.

But these are dangerous waters indeed. While telling the truth about the devastating corruption of the clergy which has dragged many souls away from the One True Faith, you also have to explain the glory of the Faith. You have to encourage people to be Catholic to become as converted to Our Blessed Lord as is possible for them in their lives and situations.

This requires many things but chief among them is prayer. This is precisely why we went to the time and expense and continual man-hours of live streaming our Morning and Evening prayer every weekday from our beautiful chapel — a chapel by the way that many visitors who come by remark is more beautiful than their home parish which sadly, for the most part, isn't a very high bar, but we digress.

Since we began our live streaming, we have refined our video feed and have now made it easier to follow along in the Christian Prayer book by posting all page numbers for every feed. Most Catholics are woefully unaware of the Liturgy of the Hours and many of the few who are aware, find the book very confusing with its constant flipping of ribbons and going backwards and then jumping forward a couple hundred pages, seemingly randomly.

It is a little difficult to begin with but since Holy Mother Church strongly recommends to the laity to pray the Liturgy of the Hours, we have set up our feed to make it as easy as possible until you catch on yourself. It does take a little time, but it certainly isn't impossible. If we can do it, you can. Perseverance and patience — that's all it takes. In the meantime, you are praying. And you are praying with other faithful Catholics all over the world who are praying with us.

All you have to do is just come to the site on weekday mornings at 8 a.m. EST and/or 4:45 p.m. EST on weekday afternoons for Evening Prayer. If you are looking for a way to increase your prayer life a little during Lent and then hopefully afterwards, this would be some great encouragement for you.
